By the beginning of May 2009 many of us were excited about the forthcoming launch of the JantyStick, a completely unique personal vaporizer from our friends at Janty.  In the UK, preorders were being taken by local distributor iVapour, and once our orders were placed we spent a lot of time discussing our excitement in their forum. We had joked about starting a JantyStick Owners Club, we made up some forum banners and avatars and wore them with pride. We were owners after all, they just hadn't been delivered to us yet!

Interest started to grow, more people started to wear the banners we had created and then Janty got in touch and offered to support us. Ludo from Janty very kindly donated a domain name and server space and jantyclub.com was born!

Still in the iVapour forums we asked for volunteers to get involved, some to work on the website and some to provide reviews and photographs. Clearly things were getting a bit more serious!

We wanted to create a true global community, there for its members. Through more forum discussion, it became clear that we needed to cover all products in the Janty range, allow people to review and discuss them in a forum, and provide a central home online for information about Janty products. If somebody was thinking of buying a Kissbox Classic for instance, we felt there should be one place they could go and learn everything there is to know about it.

Cat had volunteered to be our liaison person, Gadget is a web designer and offered to author the site, and I tried to pull it all together as administrator. We tried several ideas before opening in the current format, opening our doors to the public on 10^th June 2009, exactly one month after we had placed our JantyStick orders.

Currently jantyclub.com offers community profiles with music, a live chat, video and text reviews, polls, blogs, social groups, a forum, classifieds, photo galleries and we plan soon to launch a mod area where designers can present their designs for possible manufacture by Janty! We will shortly be introducing some exclusive member benefits and be making exclusive announcements about future products.
